A New Chapter for KC Junior Golf

Over the past year, our junior golf programs have continued to grow in both participation and purpose. What began as weekly range time has developed into something more structured, more consistent, and more focused on long-term player development.

Because of that growth, we are officially transitioning into a junior golf academy model.

What this means

This is not a change in philosophy. It is a change in structure.

Instead of isolated weekly sessions, players will now be part of a clear development system that includes:

  • Training groups based on current skill ability

  • Structured progression through Academy, Players, and Performance levels

  • Simulator-based training and competitive challenges

  • Ongoing progress tracking throughout the year

  • Seasonal programs including preseason and in-season training for high school athletes

Our goal is to give every junior a defined path for improvement, rather than disconnected lessons or occasional practice.

Why we made this change

As participation has grown, one thing has become clear: junior golfers improve best when they are part of a consistent environment.

The academy model allows us to:

  • Group players more effectively (by skill level not just age)

  • Track development over time

  • Create more competitive and engaging training environments

  • Provide a clearer pathway from beginner to competitive golfer

This structure reflects how serious player development programs operate at higher levels of the game.

What stays the same

While the structure is evolving, our core approach remains the same: make golf fun and accessible in Kansas City.

Our lessons are still open to ages 4-18 and don’t require any equipment or experience to participate. The only difference is we are now able to track each child’s progress, provide structured development paths, and are better equipped to train competitive golfers.

Next Steps

We are excited about this next phase and what it means for junior golf in Kansas City.

If you have been a part of our programs before, you will notice the structure becoming more intentional. If you are new, this is the beginning of a system designed to help every junior golfer find their place and continue improving over time.

Our new programming launches on July 6, with Explore and Developmental tracks offered in Liberty, MO. Registration is officially open, so make sure to reserve your spot today!
