A Junior Golf Program Built for Real Progress

Explore. Play. Grow.

A structured pathway that prepares every junior golfer for the course.

Ages 4-18 • Beginner to Competitive Golfers • No Equipment Needed

After three years of exclusively offering low-stakes, weekly range time in Kansas City, we are excited to announce our new initiative, Time to Play. This initiative is designed to meet junior golfers at their current skill level and prepare them for the golf course. Here is everything you need to know:

More than Weekly Lessons

What types of activities are offered?

We offer a variety of activities throughout the year, but our group lessons are the cornerstone of the Time to Play initiative. Here is a quick look at our three main programs:

  • Just Fore Fun Lessons: These sessions are offered each week and are a great way for juniors to try golf without committing to an entire season.

  • Par Lesson Series: Weekly lessons for beginner golfers to learn the fundamentals and start building course-readiness.

  • Birdie Lesson Series: Weekly lessons for returning golfers to keep developing the fundamentals of golf and prepare for competitive play.

Who can play?

The 2026 season is designed for kids ages 4-18 and all skill levels. Lessons, leagues, and events are organized by age and skill level to ensure kids are in an environment that encourages them to become the best version of themselves.

What to expect each week?

We believe kids learn best in a consistent environment, so each week follows the same schedule. Please note, the specific activities and challenges change depending on the lesson type.

  • Warm Up (Question of the Day and Stretching)

  • Skill Introduction (Quick review of the life skill and golf skill of the week)

  • Full Swing - Independent Work

  • Short Game - Independent Work

  • Group Game

  • Quick Review

During the quick review, we will discuss the weekly skills, what they can do to practice on their own, update our progress charts, and discuss what to expect next week.

Why KC Junior Golf?

We know Kansas City has a lot of strong junior golf programs for you to choose from, so here are some of the things that make us stand out:

  • Small Groups: All group lessons are limited to 3-4 juniors to ensure ample playing and instructional time.

  • Optional Independent Lessons: Add supplemental lessons or switch to independent lessons with a coach you already know; no need to balance two program schedules.

  • Structured Development: We meet every child at their current skill level and prepare them for the course (or competitive play), so they are always working towards something.

  • Developed by a College Athlete and Coach: Our programs are designed by a college golfer who competed in the NAIA National Championships and developed three national qualifiers as a head coach.

  • Year-round Golf: We recently moved to an indoor facility which allows us to practice every aspect of our game throughout the year.

  • Designed for fun: Our main objective is providing a safe environment for kids to have fun.

What do I need to play?

The only thing you need to do is register online. Our lessons are designed for all ages and skill levels, so we do not require any equipment or experience to participate. We just ask that you keep the following descriptions in mind before registering:

  • Just Fore Fun: Introduction lessons to see if your child enjoys golf before you register for the season

  • Par Series: Weekly lessons for beginner golfers

  • Birdie Series: Weekly lessons for returning golfers

Please not, registration for the Just Fore Fun lessons is weekly. However, the Par and Birdie series are a package deal until August 15, then weekly registration is available.

Do you offer any leagues?

Our Players League kicks off in September and is a great opportunity for kids to practice throughout the week and participate in some friendly competition.

There are two formats available: Simulator and On Your Own.

The Simulator League is designed for families with a membership at our partner facility (Back Nine - Liberty). The challenges in this format use the games and courses available for play. Families will book their tee times at the facility, complete the challenge, and upload a picture of their score. The leaderboard will be updated Monday at 8:00 a.m.

The On Your Own League includes challenges that can be completed anywhere (at home, in your yard, or at the practice green). These challenges are designed to practice the skills we learn each week. Juniors will complete the tasks, record their score, and upload a picture of their score. The leaderboard will be updated Monday at 8:00 a.m.

Registration for both leagues opens August 10, 2026.

What should I bring to golf?

If your child has their own clubs, we recommend bringing those. We have extras for kids who don’t have their own.

Additionally, we encourage golfers to wear comfortable clothes and tennis shoes. Since we are inside, you don’t need to worry about bringing any sun protection, but you might want to bring a light jacket.

Do you offer any practice plans?

Yes, our Players Academy is also launching in September!

The Players Academy is an online community that provides weekly practice plans and challenges. Each Sunday, juniors will receive the practice plan for the week. The practice plan includes videos, tasks, and a journal section. Throughout the week, juniors will complete the tasks and record their scores before submitting their progress reports Sunday night. A coach will review their progress reports and provide personalized feedback the following week.

Additionally, the Players Academy includes league play, so juniors have the option to participate in friendly competition throughout the week.

This program is designed for:

  • Juniors looking for structured, independent practice

  • Juniors who don’t live in Kansas City but still want to play

  • Juniors looking for supplemental practice ideas

Registration for the Players Academy opens on August 10, 2026.
