A Closer Look at July Programming
As we transition into our new junior golf academy model, July will serve as a bridge between our previous lesson format and the structured training groups launching in August.
This month, families will have two options: Explore Sessions and Player Assessment Series. While both programs provide valuable opportunities for junior golfers, each serves a different purpose.
Explore Sessions
Explore is designed for new golfers and families who are still figuring out if golf is the right fit.
These sessions focus on fun, building confidence, and learning the basics of golf through games, challenges, and age-appropriate activities. No prior experience is required, and players can participate weekly without making a long-term commitment.
Explore is the perfect starting point for:
New golfers
Younger players
Families trying golf for the first time
Players who are not ready structured training (yet)
For many juniors, Explore serves as the first step into our academy system. It’s a great way to meet the coach, try golf, and see if weekly lessons are right for them.
Player Assessment Series
The Player Assessment Series is designed for golfers who are ready to begin a structured development pathway within the academy.
Throughout July, juniors will participate in several sessions while a coach evaluates their putting, chipping, and full-swing skills.
The goal is not to pass or fail. The goal is placement.
At the end of the series, juniors will start the development track that best fits their current skill level and development needs. There are three development tracks this year: Academy, Player, and Performance. All three launch in August.
The Player Assessment Series is ideal for:
Returning players
Golfers with previous experience
Juniors interested in long-term development
Families seeking structured training and measurable progress
Which Option is Right for My Child?
If your child is new to golf or simply wants to try the game, Explore is the best place to begin. The lessons are offered weekly, and you can come as many times as you need to before making a decision.
If your child already plays golf and is ready to begin a structured training pathway, the Player Assessment Series is the recommended option.
Both programs are designed to support junior golfers at different stages of their journey, and both lead into the academy model launching in August.
July is all about finding the right starting point, so every junior can start golfing with confidence and a clear path forward.
