Frequently Asked Questions

To help you prepare for the upcoming season, we’ve created a list of our most asked questions and posted them below. If you have questions that aren’t on the list, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team!

Who can participate?

Our sessions are open to kids between the ages of 5-18 and all skill levels. For the Spring Session, we have four age groups: 5-6, 7-9, 10-12, and 13+.

Does my child need their own clubs?

Nope! We have extra clubs kids can borrow, but you are always welcome to bring your own clubs to the course.

What is the goal?

Our goal is to get kids on the course and grow the game of golf in Kansas City.

What is our top priority?

Our top priority is having fun at the course! We want kids to be excited about making new friends and going to the course.

What should I wear/bring?

If you have clubs, you should bring them to practice. Additionally, you should bring water and a hat to practice.

You should wear closed-toe shoes, athletic clothing, and have all hair tied back and out of the way.

What should I expect?

We will always meet on the practice green (right in front of the parking lot) and begin with a question of the day. After this, we will review/learn a specific skill and play several games to work on that. These games will be a mix of individual, partner, and whole group activities. Practice will end with a review of what we learned, as well as reviewing what to expect next week.

What do the lessons look like?

For the Spring Season, our lessons will be held on the practice green and the driving range. We will learn about putting, chipping, and the full swing.

What does success look like?

We measure success by the number of kids who want to come back. If kids had fun and are excited about coming back next week, it was a successful day!

Do the lessons progress each week?

Yes! We will either add a new skill or a new goal each week to ensure kids are progressing. Additionally, the Spring Session is all about preparing kids for the summer session, which has more emphasis on putting skills together and playing on the course.

Do I have to go to all the sessions?

Nope! You can now pick individual classes to build a schedule that works for you.
