A Look at Spring 2026

Daylight Saving Time is less than three months away, which means it’s time to start planning the Spring Season with KC Junior Golf.

We have a full schedule waiting for you, and we’re going to share it with you today. So grab your calendars, your golf clubs, and let’s dive in!

KC Junior Golf is starting the 2026 spring season Daylight Savings Weekend with driving range lessons, short game lessons, golf in the park, and course play days in the Kansas City area. Sign up in February for March, April, and May fun!

KC Junior Golf returns for the spring on March 9, after Daylight Savings Time starts again.

It All Starts March 9

Our Spring Season starts Monday, March 9. This will be the first week for all our Driving Range Lessons, Putting Green Lessons, Park Play Days, and Course Play Days.

All lessons will be offered weekly, on the same day, for a set number of weeks. Right now, the schedule runs for ten weeks, with the Spring Season ending on Saturday, May 16. If makeup days are needed, they will be made up the following week, with all sessions ending before Memorial Day Weekend.

Similar to the 2026 Winter Sessions, enrollment is offered continuously throughout the season. We offer weekly enrollment, allowing you to pick individual sessions to create a schedule for you.

Enrollment for the Spring Season opens on Monday, February 2.

Two Different Program Tracks

Earlier this year, we announced two program tracks: Explore and Tee to Green.

Explore is designed for new golfers - equipment is provided, lessons are simple, and the goal is to have fun. These lessons are offered at the golf course/driving range or at the park (Park Play Days). Regardless of the location, the goal is to provide introductory lessons to young, new golfers.

Tee to Green is designed for golfers who are looking to play on the course or prepare for competitions. These lessons are offered at the golf course and are more structured. We use games and scenario-based play to prepare kids for the course, as well as briefly introduce etiquette, rules, and different competition formats.

This Spring, we are offering classes for both program tracks:

  • Driving Range Lessons (Explore and Tee to Green)

  • Short Game Lessons (Explore and Tee to Green)

  • Park Play Days (Explore)

  • Course Play Days (Tee to Green)

Driving Range Lessons

We are excited to announce that we are returning to Golf Ranch this spring. Lessons will be offered at both the Shoal Creek location (5757 NE 96th Street, KCMO, 64156) and the Lee’s Summit location (1501 E US 40 HWY, Lee’s Summit, MO 64064).

Additionally, all lessons will be one-on-one to provide the best experience for all juniors. Golf balls are included, seating for parents are available, and we can hit rain or shine!

Our schedule is still under development, but our Wednesday night lessons will be at Shoal Creek and our Monday night lessons will be at Lee’s Summit. Here is the working schedule for each evening:

  • 4:45 - 5:15 p.m. (Shoal Creek Only)

  • 5:20 - 5:50 p.m.

  • 5:55 - 6:25 p.m.

  • 6:30 - 7:00 p.m.

  • 7:05 - 7:35 p.m.

  • 7:40 - 8:10 p.m.

More times/days will be added if all sessions fill up. If this happens, a waitlist will be created, and the new spots will be offered to the waitlist before going to the public.

Short Game Lessons

Our putting green lessons are returning to Paradise Pointe Golf Complex in Smithville, MO. These are our small group lessons where we learn the fundamentals of the short game and work together to complete weekly challenges.

These lessons are offered in the small-group format and do not require any equipment or experience to participate. Additionally, these lessons are offered on Saturday evenings. Here is the tentative schedule:

  • 4:30 - 5:00 p.m. (Ages 4-6)

  • 5:10 - 5:50 p.m. (Ages 7-12)

If these lessons fill up, more times will added.

Park Play Days

Park Play Days are our new introductory lessons for 2026. These lessons are offered in public parks across Kansas City and play a modified version of golf. These lessons are perfect for golfers who have never played before or families who want to explore golf in a relaxed, low-pressure environment.

We are still working on the locations for the spring, but our Tuesday sessions will be offered in the Overland Park area, and our Thursday sessions will be offered in the Kansas City area. Here is the anticipated evening schedule for both nights:

  • 6:00 - 6:30 p.m. (Ages 4-6)

  • 6:40 - 7:20 p.m. (Ages 7-12)

Course Play Days

Course Play Days are a great opportunity for kids to test their skills with hands-on experience on the golf course. These sessions are offered on the weekends and take place at different courses across the Kansas City area.

More information will be available soon.

Next Steps

Spring will be here before you know it, so don’t forget to mark your calendars. You can sign up for any of these sessions on Monday, February 2. Also, don’t forget to check our current calendar to see what we’re up to in Kansas City!
